The industrial complex of St. Petersburg demonstrates sustainable development, integrating enterprises of various scales — from large corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The city maintains leading positions in strategic sectors, including mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical industry, medical equipment manufacturing and microelectronics.

Significant attention is paid to the development of SMEs, which occupy a substantial share in the structure of the industrial sector.
